ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Lend a helping hand and pitch in on game days!
Various jobs include: selling concessions and t-shirts, subbing for a buddy, keeping score, or whatever is needed around the field on game day!
Must be 12 years old or older. 18+ years need a background check

Do you love to take pictures? Then we would love your help! We are looking for people to photograph the "Greatest Show,"  as our All-Stars circle the bases, hit that towering home run, play some defense, smile with their buddy, and whatever mischievous fun develops throughout the game (have you met our mascot Homer yet?)! Photography slots are available in two hour increments.
Must be 16 years old or older. 18+ years need a background check.

The Miracle League of the Northern Ohio Valley Panhandle will provide you with a camera.* The volunteer can check out the camera from the concession stand when they arrive and return it when they are completed with their shift.   Volunteer photographers are allowed to go on the field during game play to get some of those great action shots!

*If you prefer to use your own camera, let us know when you sign up. Once your shift is done, we will upload the pictures from your SD Card to our computer before you leave and delete them from the SD Card.  The Miracle League of the Northern Ohio Valley Panhandle owns the rights to all photos taken by the volunteer photographer. To comply with our insurance requirements, child protection laws, and our media waiver, all photos will remain in possession of the Miracle League of the Northern Ohio Valley Panhandle. 

Are you a singer?  Do you have a band? Would your school band be interested in our pre-game festivities? AWESOME! We would love to have you or your band participate in signing or playing the National Anthem prior to our games. If you have ideas on how to add fun to the atmosphere of the game let us know, we would love to hear your ideas. 

For 1-2 hours a week you can make a difference! 

• 1 hour time increments available
• 10 years old to adult 
• 18+ years old require background check prior to volunteering
• Bat Boy/Girl must wear a helmet (ages 10-15)
• Help pick up balls, bats, helmets, equipment
• Keep the environment safe for the players

 Group volunteer opportunities (minimum of 4 hours at a time). Volunteering as a group builds a sense of community involvement. It is a lesson that cannot be taught in a classroom, practice field, or board room.  The Miracle League of the Northern Ohio Valley Panhandle is the perfect place to give back!

Requirements:

1. 4 hour shift on Saturday's only
2. Everyone in the group must be a minimum of 12+ years old
3. Minimum number of 5 volunteers per group with a maximum of 15 volunteers per group
4. If more than 15 people are in your group, consider signing up for two slots and dividing your group in half or email us for special event volunteering where more than 15 volunteers are needed at one time.
5. Anyone over the age of 18 years old must fill out our background check requirements and present them before they can volunteer with us. 

 Community Service Hours (Ages 12 and Up)
The Miracle League of the Northern Ohio Valley Panhandle  will send a Service Confirmation Letter to each individual verifying community service participation hours, when needed. It's up to the volunteer to keep track of their hours and present them to the Executive Director for review and confirmation.

We ask that any volunteer in high school or above that needs a letter contact the Executive Director themselves. Parents may help younger volunteers request the letter.
